Joseph Connard Hoffmaster, June 19, 1951 to October 13, 2011. Resident of Martinsburg, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at age 60. Joseph was born and raised in Martinsburg. He was employed by 3M, Universal Forest Products, and was an accomplished brick and stone mason.
He was born to the late Mary Elizabeth Faircloth and Stewart Johnson Hoffmaster. Joseph will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers, Bill Hoffmaster, Butch Hoffmaster, Sam Hoffmaster and Roy Hoffmaster; loving sisters, Sandy Leonard and Trula Wright; beloved children, Vincent Hoffmaster, Elizabeth Misiewicz and Denise Shoemaker; treasured grandchildren, Joseph Hoffmaster, Allison Hoffmaster, Hailey Misiewicz and the late Catherine Hoffmaster; on great grandchild, Jacoby Hoffmaster, and caring in-laws, Karen Hoffmaster, Debbie Hoffmaster, Paula Hoffmaster, Chrissy Hoffmaster, Jack Leonard, Larry Wright, Michelle Hoffmaster, Kevin Misiewicz and Barry Shoemaker. Other loved ones include the late Patricia Hoffmaster Keener, whom helped raise Joseph; former wife, Nancy Hoffmaster, former wife and long time friend, Laurie McCown; a number of nieces, nephews and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, laughing, spending time and having fun with his friends and family. Joseph touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and always maintained a strong and positive attitude.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service and dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Inwood Assembly of God Church, 7400 Winchester Ave., Inwood, WV 25428, and 304.229.3931.
In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations be made to Joseph Hoffmaster memorial Fund, P.O. Box 303, Inwood, WV 25428.
