Born on November 15, 1962 in Berkeley Springs, WV he was the son of Mary Jo Perry and the late Arthur B. Thompson.
Jay was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music,telling stories, jokes and reminiscing.
In addition to his mother, Mary Jo, he is survived by his wife of 34 years Mary Beth Thompson; daughters: Erin (Barak) Carpenter, Kelsey Campbell; Grandchildren: Marcus, Crosby, Brandon, and Spencer;
Brother: Mark (Sandy) Thompson and sister, Andrea (Tom) Howard.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on Thursday October 19, 2023 from 1pm to the start of funeral services at 2 pm. Burial will immediately follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
