She was currently living at Harmony in the Memory Care Unit.
She was the daughter of the late Owen and Lidda Williams. She was the youngest and the last living of thirteen children. She was born on May 6, 1945 at home in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Janet married V. “Geno” Hoffman and was married for twenty four years and they had four children.
Janet had several jobs through the years her favorite and longest was working at Norborne Nursing Home taking care of the elderly.
She was married to Gary Hunt for 6 years until the time of his passing.
She then met and married Art Crouse and was married for twenty nine years until the time of his passing. They had six dogs throughout the years that was loved and spoiled.
She had a love for “old” school country music and loved to dance. She enjoyed the water, swimming and boating. She loved to spend time at the family river lot camping, riding her golf cart and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Janet enjoyed shopping and spoiling her family. Her delicious cooking will be missed, especially her potato salad.
She was a loving and caring woman that was like a second mom to a lot of her children’s friends, nieces and nephews. She loved all her daughter in laws Natalie, Michele, and Angie and son in law Craig.
She is survived by her four children: Robin and husband Craig Curtis, Kevin Hoffman, Eric Hoffman and wife Michele, V. Gene Hoffman Jr. and wife Angie; ten grandchildren: Craig and wife Tara Curtis, Victoria and wife Lauren Curtis, Jacob Hoffman, Trevor Hoffman, Destiny Hoffman and significant other Trenton, Kaelyn and V. Gene Hoffman III; Two Great Grandchildren Geoffrey and Bayleigh Curtis, and her beloved dog Brandi.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings: Arthur Wolford , Jim Wolford, Geneva Woods, Dolly Decker, Margie Crammer, Mary Canby, Fletta Custer, Richard Williams, JoAnne Bailey, Anna Myers, Susie Williams, and Ruth Orr; and her three husbands, and her five doggies.
A visitation will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on Tuesday October 1, 2024 for 6-9 pm. Funeral Services will be at Rosedale on Wednesday October 2, 2024 at 10 am with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
