James Raymond Lawson was born on April 5th, 1955 in Tazewell County, VA, son to the late Donald B. and Betty Pruett Lawson. James was a graduate of Ferrum College and Virginia Tech. He taught Agriculture Science for over 40 years, the majority spent at Harpers Ferry Middle School. James also coached wrestling and was a FFA advisor for Harpers Ferry Middle School.
He is survived by his children, AJ Lawson and Nicholas Lawson, as well as his siblings, Ivy Houchens & Donnie Lawson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
