Born on November 24, 1946 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Adrian and Josephine Sims.
Billy worked as a maintenance supervisor. He was an avid outdoorsman when he was younger and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Sims; his children: Herman Sims (Shelly) and Joseph Sims (Meagan); grandchildren: Matthew and Joey Sims; and brother, Rocky Sims.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Sims; brothers: Adrian and Robert; and sisters: Sandy, Eileen, Judy, and Gail.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
