Garry W Kester

Garry was a lifelong resident of Martinsburg, WV. He graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1978. He worked at Dixie Narco, retired from the US postal service and Berkeley County Schools.

Garry loved horses. He was a real cowboy. He participated in timed event horse shows. He tried his hand at bull riding and team roping. He wasn't successful at either. Garry also was an avid Martinsburg Bulldog, Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Orioles fan.

Garry leaves behind brothers, Bob Kester (Sherry) of Milford, WV: Joe Shockley, Parrish Island, SC: Rusty Kester (Pam) Hedgesville, WV: Glenn Kester (Karen), Delores Kester Stutler (Jiggs), Clarksburg, WV: Carolyn Shockey Cole (Doug), Martinsburg, WV: and Debbie McGuire, Hedgesville, WV. and Rosa Clark, Martinsburg, WV.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 2:00pm with Dr. Jack Rudy Officiating, a gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
