Effie G Ryan

Effie G. Ryan, 72, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in her home under the loving care of Hospice.

Born on April 14, 1939 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl P. and Pearl P. (Eversole) Collis.

She was a graduate of the Martinsburg High School class of 1957.

She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Martinsburg, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auvillary.

In addition to her parents, Effie was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Albright, and four brothers, Paul, Arley, Boyd, and Robert Collis.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Reginald Ryan; two daughters, Deborah Kaye Ryan Mauck and Donya Kelli Ryan Sanbower; two sons, Dennis Kirk Ryan and Douglas Karl Ryan; a sister Elizabeth Comer; and grandchildren, Chris, Taylar, Jacob, Tyler, Sara, Joseph, Kallista, Destinee, and Drew.

She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received 6-8 PM, Friday, September 2, 2011 at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Rosedale Funeral Home with Rev. John Yost officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemtery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
