
Edgar "Scott" Linton, a resident of Inwood, West Virginia, passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 24, 1947, Scott was known for being hard-working, generous, and knowledgeable.
Scott was a high school graduate from Musselman High School, class of 1966. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Robert E. Lee from 1968 to 1974. After his military service, he retired from Letterkenny Army Depot as a supervisor, where he worked for many years.
On December 22, 1968, Scott married Katherine "Becky" Myers at Mnt. Wesley United Methodist Church in Scrabble, WV. He is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Linton, and daughter, Debra Linton. He is also survived by his beloved niece, Amanda Myers, great-niece Victoria Davis, and great-nephew Andrew Davis, who were all very dear to his heart, along with several other nieces and nephews.
Scott is preceded in death by his Aunt Ruth and Uncle Reynolds Grove, who raised him, and his mother, Mary Linton.
Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a dedicated coin collector and Musselman football fan.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Panhandle for the love and care they showed to Scott.
