She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many and leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Delores was a lifelong resident of Berkeley County, WV and was a member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church in Martinsburg, WV.
Delores was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth Ambrose; her mother and father, Elizabeth and Herbert Hoover; her brother, Herbert Hoover Sr.; and three sons: Kenneth Ambrose Jr., Jeff Reynolds, and Bobbie Reynolds.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Ambrose-Pulse; son, Steve Reynolds; sister, Mary Lou Zepp; brother, Bill Hoover; sister-in-law, Barbara Ambrose; two step-sons: Jay and Rick Ambrose; three grandchildren: Chad Pulse, Matt Reynolds, and Rob Reynolds; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
We are extremely grateful for the many acts of kindness that have been extended to our family after the passing of our loved one. Your prayers, calls, and expressions of love have helped us in our moment of sadness. May God bless each of you and continually show his favor upon you.
Special thanks to the staff at Hopemont Hospital, Terra Alta, WV and Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV, and to the physicians and medical staff for their exceptional level of care and attention provided to Delores during her illness.
Private services will be held at Rosedale Cemetery.
