Minister Barbara Kay Smith, 62, of Martinsburg, WV departed this life on October 14, 2024. Born February 12, 1962, in Frederick, Maryland to Lester Timpson and Annabell Lee, she attended Martinsburg Christian Center before becoming an active member of New Beginning Apostolic Church, and in July 2023, she earned her Bachelor of Theology from the HOPE Institute School of Bible Theology Seminary and University. Her favorite pastimes included: studying God's Word, spending time with her family, gardening, interior decorating, and playing Scrabble in her spare time.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Malka Lee, Danielle Tesfai-Smith, and Joshua Smith, grandchildren, Raiden and Kairi Henderson, sisters, Dessie Camara, Rose Mendoza, and Brenda Lee, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barbara was predeceased by her mother and father, her sister, Peggy, and brothers, Michael, William, and Kenneth. Family and friends would like to give a loving goodbye to their beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
