Born February 2, 1972 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of Sara Dodson and the late George (Mike) Brenner.
Andrea graduated from E.B. Erwin High School in Alabama in 1990. She worked at Farmers and Mechanics Insurance as a receptionist.
She coached youth cheerleading for 23 years and loved scrapbooking and spending time with her only grandchild, Adelyn.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, Russell Whalen; two children: Katelynne and Shane Whalen; one sister, Shonda Brenner; one brother, Alex Dodson; one granddaughter, Adelyn Butts; grandparents, Evelyn and Martin Brenner; and one aunt, Kathy Bennett.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
