Willie Walker Jr.

Willie was born in Cayce, SC to Willie Walker Sr. & Ola Mae Walker) on March 25th, 1963. He went to school at Lower Richland High School, graduating in 1981. He married Tashon Wells on December 10th, 1990 in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Management.

Willie worked in many roles, starting his career in fast food, and serving as a strong leader in several management positions. He worked the vast majority of his professional career as an Account Executive for Fedex, supporting the larger Augusta Area for over 20 years.

In his younger years, Willie was an incredible basketball player, excelling within his team as a point guard. Later in life, Willie became a full-time incredible father, outstanding cook, ‘outside-the-box’ thinker, and creative comedian. He loved to crack jokes and warmly embrace all who met him and encourage his loved ones to be all they set their mind to be.

Willie is preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as his eldest daughter, as well as other close relatives His legacy & influence can be seen in his children 2 Sons; Aaron And Willie III, and 1 Daughter; Lauren, as well as his brother, Brandon Walker; his 2 granddaughters, Saniyah & Jalaya, and great-granddaughter, Icelynn.

The family of Willie would like to extend sincere thanks to anyone who has enriched or added joy to Willie’s life. A huge thank you for supporting us during this difficult season, and for making our champion laugh & smile during his long & fun-filled life. We appreciate you!

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM, Friday, March 21st, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
