William David Padgett, 66, loving husband of Sheron Clayton Padgett, Grovetown, GA was called to be with the Lord on May 10, 2018. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
He loved his family, he served our Country in the US Army, was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, he loved the Atlanta Braves and Falcons, loved golf, and dearly loved being out on the water relaxing in his boat.
He is also survived by his daughters, Amber Williams (Joe), Heather Padgett, Stacy Clayton and Amanda Prothman. His mother, Elizabeth Padgett, sister, Diane Smith, brother, Pete (Debbie). Grandchildren – Kayden, Wesley, Austin, Taylor, Dylon, Avery and one great grandson, Beckum. He is predeceased by his son, Chris Padgett, father, Rev. Harold Padgett, and brother, Roy Padgett.
A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Augusta, GA, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 5:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Augusta University Cancer Center, Doctors Hospital, Regency Hospice, and the employees at Kimberly Clark (Dematics) for their amazing care and compassion during this time.
