I think I only met these young men once. I did work with their father, Mike Davis, at the VAMC. Mike only ever had good things to say about his boys. Knowing Mike, and if these fellows were half the man their Dad is, this is truly a great loss. I can only offer my sincere condolescences to the Davis family for your loss.  

Prayers for comfort and peace knowing Mike and Jamey are together. May precious memories ease your pain. 

I am the sister of Jamey’s high school sweetheart Kristi Shelley Davis. I am his son Jacob’s Aunt Kiki. The first thing I remember about Jamey is he had big muscles, and I remember thinking he would be a great guy to have around for protection. I remember him being a tride and true Georgia boy, and proud of it. He was always making jokes, and keeping us laughing. He loved the old, original, classic county like Hank Williams. He always had trucks, and man toys, and plenty of guns. Jamey loved his son and family more than life itself. Kristi and I are working hard to preserve his memory, but it hasn’t been easy. A strong man like Jamey is impossible to replace, but we will do anything for Jacob, so we are learning to try to do the kind of stuff country boys do to help him not feel so sad. Jacob is missing a huge piece of his heart, and is struggling all throughout the day to keep himself from breaking down. We have encouraged Jacob to cry as much as he needs to, and to talk about his Dad and the memories they shared together in an attempt to keep his son from feeling like his dad’s memory is gone forever. Jacob is a Christian, and he has said many times that he knows his dad and favorite uncle are in a better place. He believes God needed them both in heaven to help fulfill his master plan, and Kristi and I agree with Jacob. Our prayers are with Jamey’s entire family during this tragic time. My heart is heavy I've known them all my life in will forever miss Mike and Jamey we had some good times fishing and then game we played in will miss them forever a part of me is gone Mike Jamey  I will always love you guys my heart goes out to the family see y'all again one day my brothers rest in peace
