Teresa Anne Ballew

Mrs. Ballew was born in Rome, GA to Charles and Betty Jane Brock. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was passionate about spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and never missed any extracurricular events they were involved in. Her grandkids could do no wrong and she loved and cherished her time with them. She and her husband had a group of friends they met 40 years ago when they were involved in little league in Martinez, GA. The ladies of that group call themselves the M.E.L.L sisters. Mrs. Ballew also owned and operated a daycare in her home for more than 30 years and was known as Ms. T.T. She enjoyed spending time in her “Happy Place,” The Appalachian/Smokey Mountains.

Mrs. Ballew is preceded in death by her father, Charles “Bill” Brock; grandparents, Hessie and J.M. Brown; and brother, Michael Brock. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Rick Ballew; children, Latisha Gray (Atwell) and Natalie Dray (Kenny); mother, Betty Jane Brock of Rome, GA; siblings, Loretta Webb (Butch) and Angela Brock of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Cleburne, Camden, Coleman, Angelamarie, Ava, Curtis and Elleington; and nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at 7pm, Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior at the funeral home.
