Pieter Wielinga

Augusta GA- Pieter “Pete” Wielinga 88, husband of the late Gerardina C. Wetzel Wielinga, entered into rest on Saturday April 9, 2011 at Brandon Wilde.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Elliott Sons –Columbia Road Chapel with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating . Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Wielinga was a retired chemical engineer and research development. Later after his retirement, he continued for many years as a consultant. A very active member with Abilene Baptist Church.

Survivors include his three sons and daughters in law Pieter F. (Janet) Wielinga, Roel W. (Marian) Wielinga and Jimmy J. (Tammy) Wielinga ; sister Gerardina D. Van Woenselkooy ; twelve grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren ; He is also survived by his fiancée’, special friend Joyce Edge and family.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Tuesday evening at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA.
