Lisa graduated with a Business Administration degree from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, and a MDiv from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. She worked as a psychotherapist for over 20 years specializing in substance abuse services and counseling.
Lisa was a musician, writer, avid photographer, and supporter of the arts. She enjoyed the beach, gardening, bird watching and bottle collecting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret McGuire. She is survived by her son Sean (Jennifer) Copley and grandchildren, Aaron, Caleb and Leah as well as her sister Connie (Jamey) Chandler of Hampton, Virginia, and two nieces and their families. She is also survived by close friends that she considered family.
An outdoor celebration of life service will be held in the spring.
