She was born in Waltham, MA on May 18, 1955 to William and Helen Egan.
Karen had a passion for loving and serving people. She worked for 27 years as the cook at Boston Baptist College in Boston, MA where she impacted thousands of students over the years. She was an active member of Westview Baptist Church in Martinez, GA, where she started a support group for partners that had Alzheimer’s/dementia, prepared meals, and sang in the choir. In her free time, she loved going to tag sales, gardening in her yard, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband Joe. She had a tremendous love for people and adored her grandchildren. Above all, she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her mother Helen Egan and her father William Egan. She is survived by her husband Joseph E. Landry Jr, her three children Jason Schoener, Gary Schoener, and Kevin Schoener, brothers Kevin Egan and Kenneth Egan, sisters Kim Egan, Kerri Egan, and Kristen Ford-Hernandez, and her grandchildren Alex Schoener, Jasmin Schoener, Joseph Schoener, Eli Schoener, Jude Schoener, Jacqueline Dubon, Graham Schoener, Marlowe Schoener, and Felicity Schoener.
Visiting hours will be held on July 14th, 2022 from 6PM-8PM at Open Door Baptist Church, 300 Pleasant St., Belmont, MA 02487.
A memorial service will be held on July 15th, 2022 at 10AM at Open Door Baptist Church, with a reception to follow.
