Kelly and family. It looks like your grandmother had a great and full life. I know she is now enjoying the fruits of her faith with her Lord and loved ones. The pictures are great. Thanks to your family for sharing them. I knew so many people like her growing up in the South and I grieve everytime we lose another one of these saints. There are so few like them left.

Ms. Gladys was one of the first SS teachers I remember. She was fun and compassionate then, and in her much later years as well. She and my mother(Martha Branch) were good friends for a long time. My thoughts and prayers are with your families.My Grandmother Willie Lou Murray and Gladys were very close.  I remember as a little girl we would go and stay with her on the week-ends and go shopping. She was my Mama Kelly. She had a grandaughter I use to play with. Every time I pass through Grovetown I think of her and that little white house. She was a wonderful lady and I am sure she will be missed by many.

Mrs. Fleming will truly be missed by my family. She was part of our family and made it a point to be at our family gatherings many times.She was a special friend to my parents and will be missed so very much by them. May the people you touched in your life find peace knowing you are sitting beside Jesus skipping the streets of gold and singing. God Bless.

To the family and friends, our hearts go out to all of you as we knew Gladys for a long time. She became a part of each of us in a special way and she has blessed me just by remembering who I was a few days ago when I was there to visit with her. She and Mr. George made lifelong friends with  all of my family from the oldest to the youngest. They had hearts od gold and were a blessing to know. She is in her place now, by His side and we all know she is singing in that heavenly choir just like she did at Grovetown UMC. I can hear her in my ear now as we presented a cantata. She may have stumbles, but she walays came back and continued on. Her memory will continue on for all of us left behind and we cheerish them forever. We send our love and prayers to all of you.

What a wonderful life Gladys lived.  She and my Mother (Virginia Dill) were such good friends.  I have known her all of my life and remember her kindness to everyone.  She was truly a great lady.

Ms Gladys was a member of our family.  She was our adopted Grandmother.  A family get together without her would not seem right.  Everyone loved her blueberry crunch and it was always requested.  I will miss my adopted grandma, but I know she is in a much better place.  We, who knew Ms Gladys, are so thankful to have had her with us for so many years.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of such a wonderful woman.  I have so many fond memories of both Mr. and Mrs. Fleming.  Hours spent in choir with her at Grovetown United Methodist Church, countless church activites and yes, even going to the house and taking rides on the golf cart.  We would always stop at the house during the annual cross walk for refreshments and a rest.  And yes, I think none of us will forget her wonderful pear and fig trees, and her willingness to share the goodness from her garden.  Mrs. Fleming has touched so many lives during her years.  Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all, during this time....and remember, that a piece of her lives on in each of us.

When I was little my parents rented their first house from Mrs. Fleming. I remember going over there in the afternoons and helping her pick up pears that had fallen off the trees. I remember riding around her yard on the golf cart and steering from the passenger side, and never leaving her house without a jar of pear preserves.  She was such a sweet lady and will be missed by many.
