Bernadette, born August 20, 1947, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, to Harry and Cornelia (Bruce) Sclafford, was a woman of faith who served the Lord and her family above everything else. She was proud to be “Nana” to her grandchildren and enjoyed the time she spent with them as they grew.
Mrs. Lick leaves behind those who knew her best as a petite, feisty, outspoken woman – who loved listening to Motown and gospel music, watching television dramas, singing, gardening, and traveling by “big boat” around the world with Marty.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 23 years, Marton Lick; brother and sister-in-love Harry and Brenda Sclafford; daughter and son-in-love Cornelia and Benjamin Isaac; five grandchildren Sydney-Nicole Isaac, Nigel Isaac, Xiangchu Chen, Kennedy Isaac, and Xavier Isaac; one nephew; Robert Jason Sclafford; two nieces, Deborah Lynn Sclafford and Regina Edmonia Sclafford.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Sclafford, Jr.; her mother, Cornelia Sclafford; and her son, Michael Bell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Quest Church, 5001 Gateway Blvd, Grovetown, GA.
In lieu of flowers, Bernadette and Marty have requested donations be made to Kennedy Isaac for her continued college education.
