A memorial service will be held at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with Reverend Nadine Ellsworth-Moran on January 12, 2024 at 1:00pm.
Mrs. Weigle, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, was a homemaker and a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and Elder. She was a member of the Women of the Church Circle, the Jane Howington Bible Study, and the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, Inc.
Mrs. Weigle has also served as an officer of the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs, Junior Section, organizing and active in various civic clubs. She was one of the founding members of Teen Town Augusta, Inc. and she served as chairperson of the first Teen Town Follies.
Mrs. Weigle is preceded in death by her husband, John Bresnahan Weigle, and her parents Leslie James and Marie Fauling Sellers; survivors include her two sons, J. Harry Weigle (Kimberly Blanchard) of Augusta, Georgia and John B Weigle, Jr., Augusta, Georgia; one daughter Kim Weigle (William P.) Loflin of Beaufort, South Carolina; three grandsons, John Harry Weigle Jr. (Jay) , James Robert Loflin (Rob), and John Weigle; two granddaughters, Stephanie Palmer Weigle and Maye Stevens Weigle, and one great-granddaughter, Millie James Weigle.
