Annette Rachel Hartley

Mrs. Annette Rachel Hartley, 68, of Martinez, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to many. She loved her family, the Lord and life. Mrs. Hartley was CEO of Charlie’s Auto Parts and Hartley’s Family Fun. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and regular shopping trips to “Wally World”.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Tom; sister, Margie; and precious great-grandson, Hunter Samples. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles Hartley; two daughters, Margaret (Keith) Shears and Denise (Kinsey) Butler; Granny’s three beloved granddaughters, Stephanie (John) Samples, Keena Adams, and Brooke Shears; two brothers, Tommy (Etta) Chavous and Ray (Brenda) Chavous; five brothers-in-law, Mack, Bob, Tim, Lee, and Joe Hartley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2013 in the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Rees officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be some of Granny’s closest friends and family.
