Annegret, daughter of Julius Steffens and Wilhelmine Steffens of Bremerhaven, West Germany was born on 10 July 1945.
Annegret was educated in Bremerhaven, West Germany and held a Master Seamstress degree and later worked as a restaurant manager at Rips Country Inn, Route 3, Bowie, Maryland prior to her move to Plum Branch, South Carolina, in 1999. She also was an active member of the German-American Friendship Club, Augusta, Georgia, serving as Club Treasurer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Hans Steffens and Dieter Steffens, all of Bremerhaven, West Germany; and daughter, Julie Pauline Sides, of Bowie, Maryland, in 1989.
Annegret is survived by her husband, Eugene Sides of Plum Branch, South Carolina; her son, Daniel C. Sides (Katherine) of Plum Branch, South Carolina; her daughter, Lisa A. Snyder (Jake) of Gambrills, Maryland; her sons Kevin E. Sides (Debbie) of Parksville, SC and Michael Sides (Shannon) of Brentwood, California; her sister, Herma W. Schmidt, of North Augusta, SC; and her cousin, Bernd Lunrs (Alicia) of Texas. She also leaves grandchildren, Charlie and Bradley Sides in California, Josh, Nicky, Jacob, Aaron and Collin Snyder in Maryland, Braeden and Jules Elizabeth Sides, South Carolina. They provided her great treasure. They loved their Oma and Mom Mom.
Annegret leaves family in Bremerhaven, West Germany, to include nieces and nephews. Also she had family and relatives in Eddystone, PA and Marcus Hook, PA.
Memorial Services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Pastor Patrick Darnell of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of North Augusta, SC will officiate. Interment will be private at a later time.
