Wilma Sosa was born to the late Enrique and Lastenia Murillo in Honduras. On Monday, April 29, 2024, she passed away at the age of 79. Mimi, as she was affectionately called, was married to the love of her life Carlos Sosa for 53 years.
To all that knew her, Mimi cherished time with her family. Her grandchildren were very special to her. Mimi spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Carlos; children, Carlos H. Sosa II, Marissa S. Lopez (Hector), and Alex Sosa; Christopher Murillo (Jamie) (a nephew whom she helped to raise); and her grandchildren, Andrew Lopez, Isabella Lopez. Julius Murillo and Chloe Murillo.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Mirna Murillo and Yetty Murillo, and brother, Jose Matute. She is survived by her brother Harry Murillo.
A memorial for Mimi will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Westside/Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072.
