Wayne L. Dufrene

Wayne Louis Dufrene, a lifelong resident of Westwego, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the age of 66 after a brief battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Carol Cooper Dufrene for 46 years, loving father of Todd Dufrene (Rosalind), Jennifer Aucoin (Todd), the devoted grandfather of Courtney, Joshua Dufrene, Cheyenne, Shayna and Tony Belsome as well as the great-grandfather of Jayla Renae. He was the son of the late Lorraine and Whitney Dufrene and the brother of Michael, Gary and Alcide Dufrene. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and employees of Jefferson Parish Fleet Management Central Garage and Westwego Fire and Police Department.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at which time a Service will be held in the Chapel.
