Ronnie David Chelette

Ronnie David Chelette entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 17, 2018 at 12:50pm with his loving family at his side. He was born February 19, 1950 to the late Lathan J. Chelette and Viola Guilbeau Chelette. Beloved husband of 48 years to Mary Darcourt Chelette. Ronnie left behind a wonderful legacy. He lived his life helping anyone that he could. He had a “Heart of Gold” and was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Son in Law, Uncle and special nephew to Frank & Sylvia Guilbeau, who he loved with all of his heart. Ronnie leaves behind two children, Terri Saucier Brockmann (Russell) and David Michael Chelette. He has eight grandchildren, Katie Yates (Cody), Karlie Saucier, Joey Saucier, Jude Saucier, Jace Saucier, Trinity Creppell, Triston Chelette, Aubrie Chelette; two great grandchildren, Cy Yates and Josie Elizabeth whom he did not get the pleasure of meeting, she will arrive in October. He will be truly missed by the many friends and family who loved him so much. Ronnie had two sisters Errine Ferro (Lawrence) and the late Deborah Lamonte (Joe). He also had two brothers Ernest Pete (Debbie) and Gerald (Elaine). Ronnie leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory, each of them were very special. Ronnie has made numerous friends over the years and each and every one of them has left a special place in his heart. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday May 22, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Mass will be held at 8:00pm. All services will be held at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A special thanks from the family is being extended to Serenity Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the Chelette family is requesting that a donation be made to Serenity Hospice in Ronnie’s memory.
