Ronnie Paul Anderson Sr.

Ronnie Paul Anderson Sr., age 77, of Terrytown, Louisiana lost his ongoing battle with lung cancer on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, after fighting until the very end. Ronnie was born in Houma, Louisiana to Leona Hebert Anderson and the late Goldman "Dick" Anderson on October 17, 1946.

Ronnie was the loving husband of Nancy Anderson for 58 dedicated years. Proud father of Lisa (Norvin), Ronnie Jr. (Belinda) and Derek (Patsy). Grandfather of Bryce, Brennan, Ty, Yasir, Sayid, Mia, and the late Blake. Brother of Wanda (Leon) and Donnie. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Ronnie was a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard for six years. He retired as an Electric Motor Mechanic and Truck Driver. He was an avid Saints fan, and anticipated the upcoming season. Above all, he adored his grandchildren, finding great joy in playing with them, and seeing them excel in sports and other activities.

A funeral for Ronnie will be held on August 26, 2024 at Westside Leitz Eagan Funeral Home beginning at 9:00AM. Mass to follow at 11:00AM. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
