Robert "Bobby" Charles Alton Ragan

Robert "Bobby" Charles Alton Ragan went into Eternal rest on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the age of 80. He was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana born to the late Sidney and Aline Ragan. Bobby was married to the late Laura P. Ragan. Devoted father to Paula Biewer (David), Karen Ragan, and the late Pamela Nata, Patti Hartsell, and Kristine Ragan. Step Father of Wiley Ray Carter (Chantelle), Lauren Oddo (Tony), and the late Renee' Listz. Paw Paw of Rosemarie Young (Zack), Jennifer Tompkins (Archie), Bambi Ragan, Jimmy Kirkland (Rachel), James Ragan (Kayla), Jessica Delatte (Benjamin), Holli McGee (Chaz), Frank Nata (Emily), Patrick Nata (Jeanne) and the late Brandy Poursine. Step Grandfather of Mason and Casey Carter, Paul and Tony Jr. Oddo, and Caitlyn Toomsen. Great Grandfather of Brianna, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Belle, Jasmine, Rilynn, Jason, Jeremy, Lucas, Jared, Cayden, Baylen, Jordyn, Allison, Palmer, Wells, Blakely, Gabriella, Alexander, Elinore, Skylar and the late Chloe. Great Great Grandfather of Olivia. Brother of the late Vera, Edith, Miriam, Dorothy, Sydney, and Arthur. Bobby is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Bobby also known as "Fat Rat" proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a member of the 926 Fighter Wing. He retired as an A10 Warthog Mechanic. Flying and working on airplanes was his passion, especially with his nephew Jared Robertson. He also loved spending time with his best fur friend Coco Puff.

His family would like to express their gratitude to Therinisha Honore and Visiting Angels for their attention and loving care that they offered Bobby and our family during his time of need.

A Memorial service will be held privately by his family at a later date.
