Robert Anthony Kersey Sr.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife Earline Melancon Kersey of 42 wonderful years.

Loving father of Robert Anthony Kersey, Jr., Monica Kersey, and Elvis J. Kersey and although by law, always daughters in his heart Cindy and Deborah.

Grandfather of Christopher, Nicole, Rebecca and Howard, Jr. and godfather of Stacy B. Orcutt and Dana Kersey who he loved like his own.

Son of the late Lena Nicolosi Kersey and Alvin Kersey.

Brother of Shelia Terroit, Diane Smart, Dennis Kersey, Thomas Kersey, and the late Glorie Anne Kersey and Timothy Kersey.

He was also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 60, a native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana.

An avid member of the Red Knights Chapter #1 cycle club for many years.

Bob was a veteran Fire Fighter of 25 years in the Marrero/Harvey Volunteer Fire Company #1.

Relatives, friends and members of the Red Knights Chapter 1 and his fellow Fire Fighters of the Marrero/Harvey Vol. Fire Company #1 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero.
