Rafael Rene Aguilera Sr.

Rafael Rene Aguilera entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, August 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. A loving father of Reina Aguilera, Rafael Rene Aguilera, Jr. (Kristina) and Crystal Aguilera. A proud grandfather of Adam, Zachary, Gabriel, Ezekiel, Elijah and Nickalas. Son of the late Carmen Gonzalez Aguilera and Carlos Aguilera. Brother of Maria Amalia Aguilera, Carlos Aguilera, Magally Aguilera, Maria del Carmen Aguilera Pineda (Valdemar) and preceded in death by Eduardo Aguilera and Gabriel Aguilera. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 65, a native of Guatemala City, Guatemala and a resident of Harvey, LA. Rafael worked for Westin Hotel in New Orleans as a Captain of the banquet services. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Visitation from 9:00 AM until Mass time. Interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
