Patricia Antoinette Holman

Patricia "Patty" Antoinette Holman entered the kingdom of heaven on Saturday, December 24, 2023 at the age of 68. She was born on December 5, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Belvard and Doris Rutledge. Loving mother of Erin Linvog (Josh), Richard "Rick" Holman (Kimmy) and Matthew Holman (Taylor). Proud grandmother of Colin Linvog, Kendall Linvog, Grant Holman and Macie Holman. Sister of Barbara Brown-Rosiere (Stephen), Judy Temple, Alma Vidrine, Geoffrey "Geoff" Rutledge (Laurie) and the late Lucille "Penny" Nobles (James). Patty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Patty's father was a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Their family moved according to her father's military orders. These moves eventually brought them to Southeast Louisiana, where the Rutledge family would plant their roots. Patty graduated from Tara High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1973. After graduation, Patty worked several jobs until she found her niche in the insurance industry in her early twenties. She spent her career advancing successfully through the ranks of the medical insurance field programming for billing and records until she retired in 2021.

Patty enjoyed working in her garden, traveling, being outdoors, watching westerns in her down time, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Patty was a very generous, loving person. She was always thinking of others and loved to shower her loved ones and friends with spontaneous gifts. She was also very adventurous. She had so much fun going white water rafting, riding in a hot air balloon and even skydiving at the age of 65. Patty was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, January 6, 2024 beginning at 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, followed by a Memorial Service at 3PM.
