She was the beloved wife of Larry J. Bergeron for over 65 years; Mother of Alden A. Bergeron (Amelia), Kent P. Bergeron (Donna), Mark J. Bergeron (Suzi), Joed M. Bergeron (Arzel), and Chris J. Bergeron (Roxana); Grandmother of Jason Bergeron, Alden Anthony Bergeron, Brandie Dessauer, Brandon Bergeron, Valerie Kingcade, Jesse Bergeron, Jayme Bergeron, Kent Bergeron Jr., Lainey Hodge, Celeste Bergeron, Dylan Bergeron, Alex Bergeron, Blake Bergeron, Shayna Bergeron, Emily Bergeron, and Jacob Bergeron; Daughter of the late Paul Joseph Richard and Eugess Ponville Richard; Sister of Doris Beasley and Dorothy Legendre, as well as the late Velma Legendre and Grace Crain. She was great grandmother of 13. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a professional seamstress, and loved to cook. She will be remembered for her gumbo, roast beef, baked treats, crawfish stew, and white beans. She loved volunteering her talents especially for the church. She loved being involved in the Lady Elks BPOE 2496. She not only parented five boys, but became a second mom to her beloved daughters-in-law.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or The Autism Foundation. (Autism.org)
