Michael John Landeche

Michael John Landeche went home to heaven on August 29, 2019 at the age of 68. Husband of Kim Kass Landeche for over 36 years. Father of Christopher Landeche (Samantha). Grandfather of Peyton Landeche, Riley Landeche, and Londyn Grillot. Son of Olive Landeche and the late Milton Landeche. Son in-law to the late Eldrige Kass and Joyce Kass. Brother to Randy Landeche, Paula Stropolo (Christopher), Karen Chaisson (Michael), and Sharon Duhe (Wilbert). He will be missed by family, friends, co-workers and his beloved dog Beignet.

He grew up in Norco, Louisiana, but lived the majority of his adult life in Marrero, Louisiana. He was a parishioner at Visitation of Our Lady Church where he served on the usher team and was a member of the Men's Club. Michael was a heavy equipment operator for over 50 years where he challenged people with his extraordinary work ethic. He retired from Suddy's Excavating Service where he operated heavy equipment for over 14 years and was respected by all of his co-workers. In his past, Michael enjoyed being a part of mud racing, motocross, Norco Vol. Firefighter, and Leader in the Boy Scouts of America.

A Mass will be held at Westside Leitz - Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and continue Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until the Mass. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
