I worked with Matt at Fresh Way and Casey Jones.We were work buddies but we also hung out outside of work.He had an awesome personality and would do anything for you if you needed it.Hakuna Matata my friend.You're in Gods hands now!!Love You.

My heart and prayers go out to Matt's family.  May God keep you in his loving arms. I taught Matt when he was in 7th grade.  Such a fine young man.

I'm still in shock to hear that chewy passed away. He was a great man. when I was younger and I would go to work with my daddy to clean the floor Chewy would let us ride on the wax machine. He will truly be missed.

It was so very shocking to hear of his passing. A few days before I saw him while driving, honked and waved a hello. I attended West Jefferson High School with him and always saw him when I frequented Casey Jones. He always had a smile. I remember Matt as being very friendly and kind. My heart goes out to the Kemp family.

Winnie and I can hardly express our overwhelming feelings right now.  Know that our prayers will be with your family and Matt's family.

Matt was a good friend of mine and I regret not keeping in touch as much as I should have throughout the past few years.  He was such a great guy and always a pleasure to be around.  He will be truly missed by many.

Matt was a good friend in high school at West Jefferson.  He was an avid music fan and a nice guy.  He was funny, kind, and gentle, and I'm sad I lost touch with him the past years.  This comes as a surprise to me and I send my thoughts and prayers to Colleen and his family during this difficult time.

I knew Matthew from shooting pool at Honey's . Matthew, Colleen, and I were team mates before Katrina. Matthew was a great guy and will
