Julie Ann Camardelle Jensen (White), age 54, of Waggaman, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. Julie was born in Marrero, Louisiana to the late Terry Camardelle and Elizabeth Arceneaux Camardelle. Loving mother of Hannah E. Jensen and Hailey A. Jensen. Devoted fiance' of Edward "Ed" P. White. Step Mother to Ryan White (Danielle), Adam White (Lori), and Sarah White. Step Grandmother of Dylan, Peyton, Austin, Averie, and Kylie. With being an only child, Julie is survived by her closest friends, Shirley Adams Villa, Michele Downey, Sheila Reeve, Lisa Camardelle, and Johnny Lutz III. Julie was preceded in death by her late husband, Martin "Bino" Jensen, the father of her children. Julie is also survived by other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Julie was a 1988 graduate of L.W. Higgins High School of Marrero, Louisiana. She enjoyed boat rides, Bloody Mary's, dancing, and trips to the camp. Julie was involved in numerous organizations like "No One Fights Alone" and a board member of Blessings & Beginnings. Julie loved being a mother, aunt, and grandmother, her family was her greatest achievement.
Julie was an embodiment of love, strength, and resilience during her nine year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Her battle never drug her down, and she always kept her head high. She fought a long hard battle, and she did it with grace. She was a warrior. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Julie's care team at University Medical Center of New Orleans.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the service time. A graveside service will be held privately at a later date.
