Joseph Adam Guidry Jr.

Joseph Adam Guidry Jr., age 74, of Lafitte, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022. Joseph was born on May 2nd,1947 to the late Joseph Adam Guidry, Sr. and Enola Bruce Guidry. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Prestenbach Guidry for 54 years. Devoted father of Mark Guidry (Trisha) and Patty Lejeune (Donald). Paw Paw of P.J. Loyola (Stacey), Cody Guidry (Candia), and Tara Guidry, and his great grandchildren Paul Loyola III, Owen Guidry, Eliana Loyola, and Myla Guidry. He was the brother of Earnest Guidry (Verna), Gloria Sellers (Dave), Charles "BB" Guidry (Theresa), and the late Mertile Guidry and Ozelia Saplut. Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Joe was a tug boat captain for 35 years, he was employed J.W. Stone Oil Distributor. Joe enjoyed fishing, fixing things, and tinkering with small projects of any kind. He was a kind man who would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He believed in the word of God. Joe loved and enjoyed seeing his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all of those lucky enough to know and love him.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 11:00AM and continue until the service time. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
