John was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the parents of John and Tilda Elaine Russo. John was preceded in death by his father, late John Charles Russo III. John is survived by his mother, Tilda Elaine Hoke Russo, his sister, Amy Russo Lejeune and the pride and love of his life his niece Izzy Lejeune. He has many aunts, uncles and cousins who remained dear to his heart and who will miss him dearly.
John never met a stranger; he was a soul free from judgement and filled with compassion. Those that society looked on as broken he saw loved equally beyond measure by God. His life took a downward spiral the day his dad died unexpectedly at the age of 43 in an automobile accident. He fought a good fight and remained a loving soul in his journey.
He will be missed by all who called him friend and family.
Every life has its story, every life has its journey and every life has a reason, a message why their life crossed ours. John’s life spoke volumes by his unconditional love. We can write about all the jobs, all the accomplishments of a life but a life without love is an empty one. The biggest gift a person life can give is LOVE. The world needs more John’s but we were blessed to have known and loved our John, Love Your Nana.
A service will be held to celebrate the life of John on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Sun Methodist Church 84005 LA 21 Bogalusa, Louisiana 70427. Welcoming from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM followed by Prayer Service at 2:30 PM.
