Jeanne Marie Scianneaux

Jeanne “Jane” Marie Scianneaux entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, July 3, 2017, surrounded by her loving children and eldest granddaughter. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Viola Martin Guidry and Joseph C. Guidry; her first husband and father of her children, Prentiss Alvin Freeman, Jr.; and beloved husband, Nolan “Cowboy” Scianneaux. She is survived by her three children; Joey Joseph Freeman, Amelie Freeman Welman (Vernon), Anita Freeman Gauthreaux and step-mother of, Prentiss Alvin Freeman, III (Debbie) and Susan Freeman Vowell (the late Wayne). Also survived her grandchildren, Larry Plaisance, Jr. (Christin), Thomas Gauthreaux (Mary), Viola Freeman Cosgrove (Robert), Ambre’ Plaisance McGinn (the late Trey), and Amanda Hatty. Her great grandchildren; Kayla, Chloe, Katelynn, Luke, Clare, Lucia, Elise, Alaya, Ayden, Lance, Joseph, Shane, Lilianna, Isadora and one great great grandchild, Naomi. She is also survived by her siblings, Kelly Guidry and Doris Bychurch.

Age 81, a native of Galliano, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana. She retired early in life to enjoy her family and especially her grandchildren. She also wouldn’t miss a good card game.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
