Jean Edwina Murphy

Jean Edwina Karsolich Murphy, age 83, of Avondale, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Murphy, Jr. She is the beloved mother of Denise Power (Mike), Gary Murphy (Faye), Donna Kihneman (William) and Greg Murphy (Amy). She is also the loving grandmother of Brandi, Chad, Kelly, Christopher, Nicole, Victoria, Zachary, Thomas, Ashleigh and Christian. She is the beloved sister to Lottie Hiedel, Gaynell DiGiovanni, Margie Rickie, Louis Karsolich and her late brother Anthony Karsolich. She is also survived by her 11 wonderful great-grandchildren. Jean will be missed by her family, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Inurnment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, LA
