Jean Plaisance Chauvin

Beloved wife of the late Ruben Charles Chauvin.

Daughter of the late Freddie J. Plaisance, Sr. and Imogene Leaber Plaisance.

Sister of Gary Plaisance (Barbara), Barry Plaisance (Cindy) and the late Myra Thibodeaux (Richard) and Freddie Plaisance, Jr. (Sally).

Mother of Connie Breaux (Ovile), Michael Chauvin (Carolina), Karen Hebert (Toddy), Amy Chauvin and Ruben Chauvin.

Grandmother "Gram" of Gena, Kiley, Magan; Matthew, Jason, Adam, Salvador, Joshua; Sarah, Rachel, Ryan; and Carlie, as well as 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She was a lifelong resident of Westwego, who loved gardening and going to Boomtown Casino. She was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 4th, 2024 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the service time. Jean will be laid to rest at O.L.P.S. Mausoleum in Westwego, Louisiana.
