Janet Bergeron Champagne

Janet Bergeron Champagne gained her angel wings on Friday, June 24th, 2022, at the age of 91. A long-time resident of Luling, Louisiana, Janet was born on February 25th, 1931 in Houma, Louisiana to the late Cleveland and Isabella Bergeron. Loving wife of the late Maitland J. Champagne, for 71 years, before he passed in 2019. Devoted mother of her only son Keith J. Champagne. Proud Granny of Jeanette C. Boudreau (John) and Natalie R. Champagne (Joseph). Great Grandmother of Lezlee King and Lanah King. Janet will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Janet is preceded in death by her siblings, Cleveland Bergeron Jr., Dale Bergeron, and Betty Bergeron.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, July 1st, 2022 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 11:30AM and continue until the service time. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, Louisiana where Janet will be laid to rest with her husband.
