James "Pete" "Pete" Schouest Sr.

James “Pete” Schouest, Sr. passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Age 67 years, a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 44 years. Beloved husband of Judith Hymel Schouest. Father of Kellie Ann Roux (Kevin, Sr), Melissa Lynn Dantin (Sam), Holly Marie Schouest, James Paul Schouest Jr. (Callie). Son of the late John and Lurline Matherne Schouest. Brother of Thelma “Nunnie” Bonvillian (the late Elvin), Elsie S. Baudoin, (the late Charlie), Herbert “Suggie” Schouest (Carolyn), and the late Norman “T-White” Schouest (Theresa). Grandfather of Kevin, Jr., Bryan, Tiffany (Jonathan), Tyler, Kody, Victoria, Logan, Preston, Lex and Liam. Poppy of Jaden and Sophia. The Schouest family would like to express their appreciation to Guardian Angels Hospice and a special thanks to Mechy Ghivizzani.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from the Chapel of Westside\Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Followed by interment in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA

Visitation will be on Monday afternoon , February 14, 2011 after 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning after 8:00 AM until mass time.
