Thursday, July 6, 2017, James ended his battle with a long illness and went to be with the Lord. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 46 years Edith McCorkle, his children Shelitha Jones, Kianna McCorkle, Lakeisha Siren, Edith McCorkle Moss, Jaqueline McCorkle, Antoinette McCorkle Davis, and numerous grandchildren He is also survived by his siblings: Christine Alexander, Mamie Burden, Pernelia Byrd, Archie Clark, Willie Clark, Clinton McCorkle, Mary Thornton, and Ethel Ward.
James is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen McCorkle and his siblings: Arnett Williams, Claudine Fenster, Hersey Watson, Walter McCorkle.
