James Herbert Cutts Jr.

James Herbert Cutts Jr.passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Noel “Dee” Bruney Cutts for over 53 years. He was the father of Roy David Cutts, James Paul “Polo” Cutts, and Nancy Cutts Hart. Grandfather of Melissa Cutts, Abigail Hart Stiel, Catie Hart, Michael Hart, Conor Hart, Lauren Cutts, and Jacob Cutts, as well as great grandfather of Patricia Stiel. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and a long time employee of Algiers Naval Base. He held a J.D. from Lasalle University. He was active in his community, having served as a scout leader, church youth leader, and member of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Auxillary. He was an avid camper, fisherman, and wood worker. He also played the trombone and wrote poetry.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
