James Thomas Conway III

James Thomas Conway III passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017. He was 73 years old. Beloved husband of Chong Sun Kang Conway for over 47 years. Loving father of Michael Conway, James Conway, and John Conway. Grandfather of Raymond, Tobin, Colton, Maleah, Kinleigh, Kira, Daniel, Jonathan, and Isabel. Son of the late Harriet Irwin Conway and James Thomas Conway Jr. Brother of Richard “Dick” Conway and the late Charlie Conway. James was a native of Monmouth, New Jersey and a longtime resident of Harvey, Louisiana. He honorably served his country in the United States Army for over 24 years, serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army as a Sergeant First Class, and also served in the Military Police. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends, who are all invited to attend his Funeral Service at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 until 9:00, and again on Monday morning from 9:00 until service time. Interment will follow in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell.
