Herman Romero

2nd Lt. Col. Army Air Corp Herman Anthony Romero of Belle Chasse, LA on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 6:15 pm passed away at the age of 88. Beloved and deceased husband of the late Nona Mae Martin Romero. Father of four sons, Herb Romero (Barbara), Ronald Romero (Cheryl), Darryl Romero (Jill), Myron Romero (Allison) and the late Teri Bryan Romero. Brother of the late Emmit and Lyris Romero. and a proud grandfather of eight grandchildren Eric Romero (Jeanine), Trisha R. Miller (Bo), Rebecca R. Phillips (Brian), Amy Romero, Crystal R. Krummel (Ryan), Cody Jack Romero, Kristiana Romero and Brent Romero, and a great grandfather of Alyssa Romero, Kaitlyn Miller, Ethan Romero, Kellen Romero and Anthony Miller. Son of the late Annie Patin Romero and Anthony Romero. True and faithful friend and companion of Joan Capdeville.

A native of Franklin, LA and a lifelong resident of Bridge City and a current resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Herman loved to fish, hunt, garden, paint and he was a wonderful artist. He also had a love of scouting and was the first Eagle Scout of Troop 18. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice and their staff for their tender care and devotion. Also Dr. Paul Friedlander and Dr. R. Clay Gould.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation from 9:00 am to funeral time. Rosary will be said by the Knights of Columbus Council 3091 beginning at 10:30 am.
