Gerald Joseph Blank Jr.

Gerald “Jerry” Joseph Blank Jr., a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his wife and kids, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the age of 66. Devoted husband of 25 years to Lisa Santini Blank. Proud and loving father of Angela Blank and Katelynn Aline Blank. Son of the late Gerald Joseph Sr. and Eulah Blank. Son-in-law of Dorothy and the late Lindberg Santini. Grandson of the late George and Aline Hartman, and Lawless and Lena Orgeron. Beloved brother of Joseph “Joe” Self (TJ), Kevin Wilcox (Theresa), Terry Ehrlich (Ervin), and Carla Blank. Cherished brother-in-law of Lindberg Santini Jr. (Pansy), Linda Brockhoeft (Sheddy), and Beverly Verdin (Gordon). Jerry also leaves behind his adored fur babies, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Jerry spent many years providing for his family as a dedicated 18-wheeler driver, retiring in 2007. He cherished his time with family and took immense pride in watching his children grow into the intelligent, loving adults they are today. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, October 11th from 10:00am-1:00pm at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home at 5101 Westbank Expy in Marrero. Funeral service will begin at 1:00pm, followed by interment at Westlawn Memorial Park at 1225 Whitney Ave. in Terrytown.
