Mr. Gary Joseph Dufour Sr.

Gary Joseph Dufour Sr., born January 10, 1941 passed away after a courageous battle with a long illness on July 25, 2014. Husband of his cherished wife, Trudy Schexnaildre Dufour. Loving father of D’Ann Dufour Stephens (Todd) and the late Gary J. Dufour Jr. Grandfather of Kyle and Kate Stephens. Brother of Hunley (Cindy), Henry (Sue), and the late Richard Dufour (Sandra). Son of the late Hunley P. Dufour Sr. and Theoma Eschette Dufour. Also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews, family and friends. Gary was retired from Jefferson Parish Engineering Department after 22 years of dedicated service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 9:00 in the morning. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Lanny Schexnaildre for his caretaking throughout Gary’s illness. Also, the wonderful and caring friends that were made in the Emergency Room and the Oncology Departments as well as the entire staff of West Jefferson Medical Center.
