Donald Eugene Robbins

Donald Eugene Robbins, of Harvey, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the age of 74. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Francis D. Robbins and Donna Jean Beckholt Robbins. Donald was married to Barbara Clark Robbins for 52 years. Devoted father of William "Bill" Robbins and Tracy M. Borne (Nerrie Borne, Sr.). Proud Papa of his grandchildren Cecilia Borne and Nerrie Borne, Jr. and his great grandchildren Charlotte, Cayde, and soon to be expected, Amelia. Donald is also survived by other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Donald was a 1967 graduate of Northridge High School in Ohio. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for over 20 years and obtained the final rank of Chief Petty Officer. Donald was stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia for 15 years. During that time, he served as the assistant coach for his son's baseball team and was the start director in BMX racing for both Bill and Tracy. Donald also helped Tracy with cheerleading activities, then later in life assisted his grandchildren in their cheerleading activities. In 1988, Donald retired from the military and was hired by Avondale Shipyard and worked until their closure in 2013. He was able to spend his later years spending quality time with his beloved family and enjoying his retirement.
