Denise Marie Kerwin

Denise Marie Renouf Kerwin passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Sunday morning, December 11, 2016. She was 85 years young. Beloved wife of the late John Francis Kerwin and longtime companion of the late Lionel Zimmerman. Loving mother of Lawrence “Larry” Kerwin, Kevin “Wanky” Kerwin, Sonya Polkey, and the late Sharon Lynn Kerwin. Maw Maw of Roger Decker (Danny), Fallon Decker, Shantelle Dozier (Wesley), Louis Polkey, Carissa Arraiga (Frankie), Rochelle Polkey, Ryan Pasqua, and Christopher Polkey. Great Maw Maw of Jayda Nunez, Logan Arraiga, and Paris Polkey. Daughter of the late Antonio and Marie Blanche Renouf. Step-Maw Maw to many inherited children and grandchildren. Denise was a native of Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada and after many adventures, chose to make Marrero her home in 1962. She was a spunky free spirit who was always up for a good time. She loved to drink her red wine and we know that she’s now dancing in Heaven the ones she loved. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at her home, 4515 14th Street, Marrero, on Saturday afternoon, December 17, 2016 beginning at 1:00.
